Robin Sherman received her B.A. from Brandeis University, M.S. degrees from Lasell College and UMASS Boston and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the gerontology department at The McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies at UMASS Boston. Her academic interests include older learners, productive aging, older drivers and transportation options, and housing/service alternatives for older Americans. Prior to enrolling in the UMASS doctoral program, Robin worked for 20 years in commercial real estate in Massachusetts, New York and Connecticut. Since arriving at UMASS, Robin had held both research and teaching assistantships for a variety of professors in her fields of interest. Robin is an enthusiastic educator. This manifests itself in her presenting exciting curriculum and the time she spends working with students to assist them in mastering interesting and sometimes challenging material.
