Diane Griffin started her career in advanced nursing practice in 1987 as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and worked in various Family Planning clinics throughout the United States. In 1994, she decided to return to school to broaden her scope of practice and received her Master’s degree from Emory University in Georgia with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Upon graduation, she worked at a rural health clinic under the auspices of the National Health Service Corps. The transition to nursing education came about in 2002 and has since been her full-time career. She has taught in both Associate and Baccalaureate degree nursing programs and has a strong commitment to assist the RN-to-BS students further their education and become leaders in the nursing profession. Her major goals as an educator are to make the course work challenging, practical, and stimulate the desire for lifelong learning.

Carol Allen is the lead instructor and course designer for NU 360: Professional issues in Nursing. She has been a Pediatric Nurse for more than 27 years in various positions as an inpatient staff nurse, outpatient clinic nurse, and nurse manager. She graduated from UMass, Boston with her masters in Nursing as a Family Clinical Specialist and her BSN from Boston College. She has been teaching in the undergraduate program for more than 8 years and in the online, RN-BSN program for over 1 year.
