Dr. Shi obtained her Master degree in Biostatistics and PhD degree in Child Health and Development from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She is the principal investigator for several research projects on child feeding and nutrition, and lifestyle factors associated with cardiometabolic diseases.Ê She was a major investigator on the process and outcome evaluations for maternal and child morbidity and mortality reduction programs funded by the World Bank, the AusAID, the World Health Organization, the World Food Programme and the UNICEF. Dr. Shi serves as statistician for several NIH funded projects. She has extensive experience on managing and maintaining large, complex datasets and conducting analysis on these datasets. As the first author or co-author, she has published over 20 papers on peer-reviewed journals, and one book chapter on suicide prevention published by the World Health Organization.
