Course Description
This course focuses on basic concepts of statistics such as measures of central tendency and variability; concepts of test validity, reliability, and objectivity; and on basic techniques used in inferential statistics. Emphasis will be placed on interpreting scientific peer-reviewed research in the field of exercise and health sciences.

Prerequisite: MATH 114Q or Equivalent. EHS or College of Nursing Students Only.

  1. There are no textbooks required for the class; all information will be available online. SPSS software is required but will be available from the course website as a download. The approximate cost is $45. Nothing needs to be purchased prior to the course start date.
