Dr. Kaffenberger is a social gerontologist who also holds graduate degrees in Public Health and Management. He has taught at several colleges and universities. During his health administration career he has worked in a street-front counseling center, in hospitals and nursing homes, and in public health education. His research interests center on disability, long term care, and health care workforce issues. He has served on the boards of the Massachusetts Gerontology Association, the Massachusetts Public Health Association, and Massachusetts Board of Registration for Nursing Home Administrators. Dr. Kaffenberger has made presentations at national academic meetings, at regional conferences, and at aging services sites throughout the Commonwealth.
