Dr. DeGennaro graduated of the University of Pennsylvania with a PhD in Education. Her dissertation work focused on how technology-mediated activities in a cross-community partnership empowered youth to have a voice in the organization of their learning. Donna’s current research interests center on youth technology practices and interactions in informal learning environments. Her research draws on theories from cultural sociology to examine the interrelationship between culture, history, and social interactions and how they inform emergent learning designs.
