Randall M. Colaizzi received a B.A. degree in English from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and M.A. (Latin) and Ph.D. (Classics) degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. He excavated with the Berkeley archaeological excavations at Nemea, Greece, and has taught at the University of Wisconsin, UCLA, Boston College and Wellesley College. His research and publications concern Latin poetry. In addition to his Classics courses in the UMass Classical Studies Dept, he teaches the Greek and Roman Archaeology classes in the UMass Dept. of History. He also takes small group tours to Southern Italy, Sicily, and Greece.
