- Local students may come to the UMass Boston Testing Center in the Campus Center to take the test. The testing schedule is available at this website: www.uac.umb.edu. Online remote students may locate a testing center at a college or university nearby and explore making arrangements to take the UMB test. (See http://www.ncta-testing.org/ for list of possible US testing centers.) UMass Boston has the capability of exporting its test to a remote testing site so that it can be taken via computer by an online student. The online student must contact the testing center of choice and ask if that center is able and willing to administer the UMB test. The center should go to http://www.serl.org/MPE/RemoteTesting for information to set up the test. Please allow 2 weeks lead time for test setup and stay in touch with your test center for date and time. The remote test center may charge a fee.
Once the test is taken the results are tabulated immediately and can be printed. When ready to register an online student can fax the results to the CCDE registration office (617.287.7902). Test results will also be stored in the UMB Testing Office. - Wimba Requirement
