Description for HIST681: This course will provide an overview of socialism as a movement and will introduce students to some of the most important Socialist thinkers and their influence. Besides reading classic texts and discussing them, the course emphasizes writing . Students will be required to produce a major research paper on a relevant topic of their choice and a will discuss their paper with class members and the professor.
