Academic Skills Program

For anyone preparing for college level mathematics courses (Math Q114, Quantitative Reasoning, or Math 115, College Algebra), this course will minimize the time and cost to you in achieving your goal, whether you are learning the material for the first time or refreshing underused math skills. Class meets daily in a lab which utilizes the computer-aided, web-based instruction program named ALEKS. The program provides an assessment of a student»s skills, generating an individualized learning plan based on the data. In class, mathematics faculty are always present to assist students and to offer additional help understanding concepts. Being web-based, ALEKS allows students to continue their work anywhere there is a computer with an Internet browser. Register for whichever Math Skills course is indicated by your Math Placement Test results.
